Injury Progress
Well myGP did not let me down: no referral. He said "keep running (that's good), but avoid anything that aggravates it. It should mend in a month or so. You have strained your muscle where it attaches to the pubic bone." Well I must admit it has improved but not gone away. After a strenuous run I feel it. Cricket, forget about it. Core exercises can be murder!

Visit GP
I have been struggling with a lower abdominal strain for about 6 weeks now. I took a week off after a marathon, but not much improvement. After a run, if I sneeze, I fell like I will unzip across the groin. Ouch. I'd love to go straight to a sports physician and get it diagnosed straight away. You need a referral for that. So tomorrow I am off to visit my GP. A nice guy but he probably thinks everyone is a hypochondriac. Will he give me a referral? Will say the dreaded word to a runner? Rest. Stay tuned.

Virgin Blog Post
This my first post. I'll keep it short. I've always viewed "blogging" as self indulgent. So am I missing something. I guess I'll indulge and form a more educated opinion.
I am off for a run now. My first since the Calgary marathon last Sunday. I have never not run for a week since I started this obsession four years ago.
